Lisa Hiatt, a dedicated educator with a wealth of experience, brings her passion for inclusive learning to her role as a Learning Support specialist at Saint Michael Catholic School. With the solid foundation of her Bachelor's degree in Education from Appalachian State University, with a concentration in Psychology, Mrs. Hiatt embarked on her teaching journey over two decades ago in the Public Schools of North Carolina before joining the St. Michael community in February 2021. With a deep-seated belief in the importance of holistic education, Mrs. Hiatt finds herself drawn to the refreshing approach of Catholic Education, particularly admiring St. Michael's commitment to involving the entire family in the educational journey. Unlike the test-driven culture of public schools, St. Michael prioritizes the comprehensive development of each child, focusing on academic, social, and spiritual growth.

Beyond the confines of the classroom, Mrs. Hiatt's interests reflect her vibrant personality. She finds joy in leading Zumba classes, harnessing her love for movement and fitness to inspire others. An ardent animal lover, she shares her home with two cats and a dog, cherishing their companionship. In her leisure time, Mrs. Hiatt delves into the enchanting worlds of literature, with "Lord of the Rings" holding a special place in her heart. With her unwavering dedication to her students' well-being and her diverse array of interests, Mrs. Hiatt epitomizes a dynamic educator committed to nurturing the minds, bodies, and spirits of those she teaches.
