FIFTH YEAR
Fifth Year is the last grade in our Lower School before progressing onto our Upper School. This means ensuring students are ready academically, spiritually, and holistically to enter into a new (but still familiar) world of learning!
Mrs. Adrianne Adderley
This is Mrs. Adderley's second school year with Saint Michael Catholic School. She is also the Spring director of the SMCS drama club, the "Saint Michael Players."
Prior to Saint Michael, Mrs. Adderley taught K-16 in 6 states and 2 countries for 30 years. She thinks teaching to be a work of mercy and that it is always a delight. She believes that her greatest attribute in teaching is her stubborn refusal to believe things should be boring.
Mrs. Adderley earned her Bachelor’s degree in English at University of South Florida, her Master's degree in Arthurian Literature at University of Wales in the U.K., and her Ph.D. in Theatre from University of Missouri. She has a professional interest in creative dramatics for K-12 instruction.
Mrs. Adderley was raised Catholic. She is a member of Saint Michael Catholic Church.
In her free time, Mrs. Adderley likes to spend time with her family (four children and eight grandchildren) and beasties (cats, ferret, and parrot, who like to visit class).
